A dog is for life AND for Christmas

I have just had a quick look on the web but cannot find one.... I've seen stickers in cars that read "A Dog is for Life and not Just for Christmas".... well I would like to buy Mum one that reads "A Dog is for Life AND for Christmas" So if anyone has seen one please help us....

Ditto is a bit oblivious to all of this yet, but Christmas time is approaching and Mum has started her usual pre Christmas behaviour of gathering up some of her "toys" and putting them into large bags.... this normally means she is heading off on what she calls a "trip", but I call it a long walk WITHOUT US :-(

So we are off on a holiday of our own to stay with Aunty Hayley in Sussex, she does look after us well but its not quite the same as being with mum, still she said the other day she had found a Tuna Pudding recipe for us for Xmas dinner, so that is something at least! But just to let all our blog friends know we wont have access to internet down there, will try to post again before we head off but if not we will be back online at the New Year...

Hello Dexter and Ditto

Whereabouts in Sussex does your Aunty live? If it is near me you should ask her if we can meet up one day.

Love rufus

Hey Rufus it would be great to meet up if possible... we are staying near to Billingshurst if that is nearby you at all?

Oh dear Dexter and Ditto

Yes what to do about a sticker to name and shame your mum. Tough one. Probably your best bet is to get a very thick marker pen and furiously cover up the "not just" words. And then make them drive all over the place so as to give maximum exposure as to how neglected you are. Oh ... thinking on our feet here. You could get out of the car and shake some donation tins .. it's nearly Christmas (oops sorry tactless word) and we BET people would be generous.

Well anyway. We will miss you. LOTS. Ginger hugs and kisses (and do remember to work Auntie Hayley like MAD)

I had to ask mum where Billingshurst is as I'm not very good at Geography. She says it is 'quite' near us - we are in Brighton but at the weekend we go for walks on the south downs which is a bit nearer to where you'll be and very nice. Perhaps if you ask your Aunty Hayley if you can go there we could meet up! Will you have a computer at your Aunty's?

Oooh my mum was just saying last night that we ought to get together with you whilst you're away. We think we can do Billingshurst...

Ditto thats rubbish that your mum is leaving you but also a bit weird. My mum goes away next thursday until mid January and we will be stuck with Dad and I think in prison for some of the holidays.

Zala and I hope you have fun at your Aunties house and hope you all get to meet up whilst your there.

Rez xx

Redgirls - excellant idea! We have been busy rooting around today for some suitable donation tins and have decided to spend any money we raise on clothes seeing as we seem to be the only ones on here without a wardrobe... yes I can picture it now - abandoned for Christmas, shivering with cold and shaking a donation tin... the money will roll in!!

Poor Rez.. you will be without your mum at Christmas too. And you're off to prison? Oh dear, take your fav toys and blanket with you for some comfort :-)

Rufus/Charlie - GREAT idea! I will give mum a nudge to contact Hayley and see if she will bring us along. Hayley doesnt have a computer but I will make sure mum passes Hayleys contact details onto your mum Charlie.
