Winter Walks

Winter seems to have arrived and here we are yesterday morning setting off on an early morning walk. Mum seemed to think it was a lovely morning, a red sky as the sun was rising....

Here I am below ruining a good photo as it was way to cold to put my bum on the floor for long!

We didnt see any rabbits out and about this morning but that didnt stop us hunting in the brambles looking for them....

Plenty of running around was needed to stay warm, here we are having our favourite game of tag...

I was then just about warm enough to put my bum on the frosty ground long enough for Mum to take a photo....

Dexter, ever the hunter was still in hunting mode, I like a bit of hunting from time to time, but I'm not quite so into it as Dexter is...

Or perhaps I am just more clever... rabbits... this morning... no chance!

OOhhh and lastly we have some good news to report on donations for our "Abandoned for Christmas Campaign" We are even receiving money THROUGH THE POST!! Our fame must have spread, last week we had the following Christmas card from Grandma with some Christmas money inside it to buy some Christmas treats! Soon we will be rich! Dexter has his eye on a new pheasant toy (probably because I chewed his old one up) where as I quite fancy a little jacket to keep the chill off on these cold mornings!!

Great card although we think we need to get the black marker pen out on the "fluffy" word!!

Hope all you fellow gingernuts have a great Christmas!!

  1. Fab pictures you two. Lots of fast running to keep warm though. I know what you mean about the sitting on frost thing, why do our mums make us do it. We should start a campain for winter bum warmers for all vizslas. Perhaps you could get one with your christmas money.

  2. oheeee .. D & D we thought your mum had left you already and we were sad. But another chance to say au revoir, bonne chance and things like that.

Bert says (seriously) dear Uncle Dexter ... fellow hunting uber maniac .. it must run in the family. Mum blasts and shrieks. But if I am doing my job I am doing my job. And I feel unable to hear her.

Mz Hat says to Mz Ditto . I too am unable to sit if my landing space is not quite to my liking.

Mum says LOVED you frosty morning pics.

    We all say XXXX

  3. Glad you liked the pics, why do Mums think its a good idea for us to sit in the middle of a frosty field.. I mean, she doesnt do it does she so why should we?!

And yes Bert, we must have "hunting" genes, I could hunt or work all day long, Mum says I would probably carry on until I dropped where as Ditto hasnt got my staying power, she has to go back to Mum for a cuddle when she gets tired!

  8. Ooohh Radio, I would love to meet up with you all and so would Dexter. However my mum is in the Galapagos, we wanted to go too but we went to Sussex instead :-(

We do not have internet access down there very much and Auntie Hayley is a non computer person, however Charlie´s Mum Sally has her phone number and can contact her re any Vizzie get togethers, so you never know, we might be able to come along if you are able to pass the information on.

  9. I won't put me bum on the cold frosty floor either! can't blame you. But mum bought me a bright blue coat with reflecters. Bark of the neighborhood I must say. Love the picks. You're a great looking pair. Wish I had a buddy to chum 'round with but mum says I'm such a nut job that there's no way she could tolerage two of us vizslas.
